14 Years Ago Today – August 11, 1996 Moab, UT
August 11, 1996
I’m sitting here sunbathing in the hills behind Ken’s lake. Wow – three weeks of life just whipped by. I realized toady that summer is coming to an end. An end as far as the friends I had at the beginning of the summer are leaving and moving on. In 2 weeks it will be the end of August. Drew will be leaving and right now I have no idea what I want to do for the next 2 months. I’m trying not to reflect on summer just yet. Most notable events I can remember that: One, Drew and I went on a road trip. SLC to Denver back to Moab. I went to my first baseball (major league) game. Colorado Rockies at Coors Field. I don’t even know if they won I had a ball – had a full experience, – bratwurst, beer and 3rd row seats off of 3rd base. It was a pretty long death drive back, but we made it. Drew said later, if you can sit in the same vicinity as someone and feel comfortable, he considers it a special type of relationship. Probably as far as no pressure to “make conversation.” I’d agree with that.
