So this ad is from animalalliancenyc.org and is about having room for a homeless pet – or rather thinking about whether a pet is something you leave along with the rest of the history you leave behind when you move. I interpret the cat on top of the car in two ways.
1) If you leave your pet behind, they don’t forget you. They’d rather ride on top of the car than be left behind
2) Make space for the kitty, it fits comfortably in the back seat.
Remy Martin has a way with women and nightlife, but it appears people don’t agree with Remy’s perspective. Apparently the chain connecting these two women wasn’t enough.

Things are getting interesting
Alvin Ailey – one of the most legendary dance companies on the face of the planet is promoting its latest performance shows a dancer captured in a beautiful aerial movement shows his backside and pffft…blastoff.
Clearly the person making this commentary is not a connoisseur of dance. What breeds this kind of humor (of course this being NYC, the assumption is that this has been initiated by an adult)? Jealousy of the stunning, fit body? Was it a woman or man making this statement in a drunken 3AM stupor waiting for the train, or is an obvious joke just a joke and was everyone else thinking the same thing, but just too PC to articulate it?
H&M sweater ad. The paper poster had torn X’s for eyes. Materialism, albeit $29.95 materialism – shopper angst toward the holiday shopping season?
Healthy bodies? There are some strong feelings about what a healthy body should look like. Sexist? Objectified?
